2012年9月6日,在酿酒师Michell Rolland的精心管理下,柏菲(Pavie)与金钟(Angelus)一同升级为圣埃美隆一等A级庄。周四,柏菲酒庄Chateau Pavie总经理Philippe Develay来到Cult Wines伦敦办公室, 并分享了2012,2014, 2015 和2016年份的柏菲Chateau Pavie。


2015 Chateau Pavie, Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France

Among all of the wines we’ve tasted 2015 is absolutely amazing. Impressively rich and concentrated with a clearly identified red fruit core. The wine is full-bodied with perfumes of dried roses and tea leaves and occasionally some unsmoked cigars underneath the palate. Superb length and velvety tannins.


2012 Chateau Pavie, Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France


2012 is one of Pavie’s most popular vintages with a black and gold label to celebrate its upgrade to Premier Grand Cru Classe A. Awarded RP 95pt in 2015, this full-bodied inky purple red tastes so deep and intense, offering an interesting nose of Christmas spices. There are bags of blueberries layered on the palate and tannins are smooth and very much moderate. Should drink well in the future 10-20 years. Another masterpiece from Gerard Perse!


2014 Chateau Pavie, Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France

With less oak and more cabernet on this vintage, 2014 has been long recognized as a transforming vintage with a nice mineral backbone and classic firm tannins. There are complex bouquets of truffle and cedar wood as well as mixed flavours of black and red fruits. Known as the star of Gérard Perse's portfolio this year, Pavie 2014 has been awarded 95pts by Neal Martin in March 2017. Should be well worth cellaring for another 10-15 years.


2016 Chateau Pavie, Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France


As you could tell from the attractive hint of graphite, Pavie 2016 shows more terroir than technique. The palate is medium-bodied but tannins are supple and ripe. Having been awarded 98-100pts last April by Neal Martin, this 60% Merlot blend is apparently a strong candidate to challenge the 2015. Philippe said this morning that it won’t be bottled until January 2019. So more maturity to expect though already very impressive.
